What is Hypnosis?
In between waking & sleeping is a level of consciousness known as trance.
For example, if you have ever been so absorbed in a book or a film that it felt as if you were actually there and don't notice distractions, you were experiencing trance - it simply means being totally absorbed by your thoughts and imagination. Its like daydreaming.
During hypnotic trance we can bypass the barriers to our inner thoughts and feelings, and suggestions are acted upon much more powerfully than is possible in a normal state of mind. We use relaxation and distraction to achieve that required state for your unconscious mind to accept new suggestions.
