Wavering self-belief or self-confidence.
What is going on? Who am I? Where am I going? How come I feel great some days and feel like crap other days?

You are a product of whatever you believe yourself to be. When I say believe your self to be - I mean real or imagined. Scientists have wired up man's brain with monitoring equipment to observe the reaction to stimulus. They showed the subject a picture and the brain lit up in a number of places with a measurable degree of intensity. Next they asked the subject to imagine the same picture and guess what? The brain lit up the same! Conclusion; the mind can't tell the difference between the real and the imagined! If you think you're rubbish - you will be, if you think you're beautiful and talented - YOU ARE!

In the summer of 1993 400 people meditated for 48 hours on peace and love in Washington DC (the murder capital of the world). The rate of violent crime dropped by 25%. The Chief of Police said it would take 6 feet of snow (in summer!) to normally achieve such a drop. Coincidence? No, the power of thought!
Lack of self belief is an emotional state and we get addicted to emotional states because it sets up a bio-chemical reaction that we get used to - if you fire it, you wire it. The unconscious mind thinks you like it because you keep going there! You also have developed a set of words and a posture that is part of the pattern.
You need to break it to get control of it!
It's that simple. You have been building a neuro net around certain emotions and words. As soon as you tell your unconscious mind to break it it will start to unmake it. It will take a bit of time and repitition because you have affected yourself down to cellular level and need to wait for a reproductive cycle (or two). For example, when you say or think anything negative, say CANCEL! ERASE! I'm not feeling down (for instance) - I just don't have my usual zest today so I'll (a) go to the gym (b) ring up someone I love (c) listen to a song that always cheers me up.. etc. DON'T fall for the pattern of getting high to deal with the negative emotion because you will become addicted to creating the trigger so you can reward yourself with a high. If you really want to get stoned wait for a night off and go and get wrecked - no fuss, no story, no anchor.
